After working for four years in Clinical Trials and Life Sciences Products at Cognizant, I felt an ardent desire to seek out new challenges and a fresh environment. As someone who is committed to personal growth and development, I decided to enrol in a full-time business administration program at Great Lakes. My goal was to transition from an engineering role to leadership and business positions.
Before my placement, I had the opportunity to attend a lecture by Suresh and Rajesh, who shared with us insights into the rapidly growing field of data security. Their lecture was very impressive, especially given the increasing interest in this area. I was left with a deeper understanding of the importance of cybersecurity and the need for data security measures.
During my first two years at Mage, I was primarily involved in pre-sales activities, which included conducting demos, proof of concepts (PoCs), and other related tasks. One of my first responsibilities was to conduct a demo, which was a new experience for me. Prior to this role, I never had the opportunity to work directly with customers on a regular basis, and the success of the demo was critical to the overall success of the project. Fortunately, Suresh was a great mentor, and guided me with his extensive experience, providing invaluable insights that helped me grow and develop in my role.
After my initial experience in pre-sales, I was fortunate enough to transition to the product management team, where I was able to work closely under the guidance of Krishnan. He was an exceptional mentor and leader, always willing to offer his extensive experience and expertise to help me grow and develop in my role. I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to work with him, as I learned a great deal from him.
What I admire most about our leadership team is their unwavering commitment to growth and development. They are always striving to learn and improve themselves and the company, and this has been a great source of motivation for me. I always look up to them and strive to emulate their leadership style in my own work.
Outside of work, I find inspiration in the life and work of APJ Abdul Kalam, who was a role model citizen for the country. In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in the nostalgic melodies of old songs from the 1960s to the 1980s. Among these songs, the lyrics of Kannadasan have particularly impressed me, as they offer valuable life lessons that are still relevant today. To further explore the world of Kannadasan, I have recently started reading books written by him.
Apart from music and literature, I have an interest in politics and sports. As a fan of Formula One and IPL, I keep myself updated on the latest happenings and enjoy watching the races and matches.
Recently, I have also developed a new interest in visiting and admiring the scenic beauty of temples. I find it fascinating to observe the intricate architecture and history behind each temple. So far, I have had the pleasure of visiting the temples in Tanjore, Kumbakonam, and Kancheepuram, and I hope to visit Hampi soon to experience their unique beauty and culture.
Bali has always been on the top of my list for a holiday destination. The stunning natural beauty and vibrant culture of Bali has always fascinated me. I am eager to explore the beautiful beaches, crystal-clear waters, and lush greenery that Bali has to offer.
Growing up in a family of auditors has been an enriching experience for me. My parents, brother, and wife are all chartered accountants, and their passion for numbers and attention to detail have had a significant influence on me. It has taught me to be meticulous, organized, and analytical in everything I do.
Spending time with my brother's kids is one of my favourite things to do outside of work. Watching them grow and learn is an incredible experience that never fails to put a smile on my face. It's a refreshing break from my work and helps me recharge my batteries.
